Symptom

You want to know if it is supported to monitor secondary site from HANA Cockpit, in HANA system replication environment.

Environment

• HANA Cockpit 2.0 or higher.
• SAP HANA Platform Edition 1.0 or higher

Reproducing the Issue

Add target HANA DB to HANA Cockpit Manager.

Cause

In order to able to add HANA DB to HANA Cockpit Manager, all the 3 conditions listed in KBA 2964791 should be met.

Only when operation mode = logreplay_readaccess, all 3 conditions can be fulfilled and secondary site is able to be added to HANA Cockpit Manager.

Resolution

It depends on the "operation mode".

• When operation mode = logreplay or delta_datashipping, it is not supported to monitor secondary site from HANA Cockpit.
• When operation mode = logreplay_readaccess, it is supported to monitor secondary site, in readonly, from HANA Cockpit.
